4 Day - 3 Night Tour

Service Description

DAY 1: Arrival and Welcome to the Amazon Rainforest • You will be met at the Puerto Maldonado airport or bus terminal by one of our representatives. • Transfer to the village of San Bernardo (kilometer 30 of the Puerto Maldonado – Cusco highway). • We will begin an 18 km journey along a rural road to reach Tres Chimbadas Lake Lodge. • Welcome drink and orientation to the facilities. • Free time to relax or explore the surroundings. • Night walk to observe insects, frogs, and listen to the sounds of the rainforest. • Dinner and overnight stay. DAY 2: Sunrise and Wildlife at Lake Tres Chimbadas • Wake up early to the songs of the birds surrounding the lodge. • Rowboat ride on Lake Tres Chimbadas to enjoy the sunrise and observe the local wildlife. • With luck, you might spot the majestic giant otter (river wolf), one of the Amazon's most iconic species. • Return to the lodge for breakfast. • Hike through the primary rainforest, observing giant trees, tropical birds, and, with luck, monkeys and other wildlife. • Lunch and free time. • Traditional piranha fishing at sunset. • Dinner and overnight stay. DAY 3: Local Culture and Nighttime Caiman Hunting • Early breakfast and departure by boat to the La Torre Clay Lick, located on the banks of the Tambopata River, to observe birds that feed on the clay. • Picnic breakfast during the excursion. • Visit to a local farm to learn about Amazonian crops and rural life. • Return to the lodge and lunch. • In the afternoon, a day hike along the lodge's interpretive trails. • After dinner, caiman watching: observe caimans by flashlight. • Overnight stay. DAY 4: Farewell to the Amazon Rainforest • Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise. • Breakfast and packing. • Return to Puerto Maldonado.
